Nyege Nyege 2025: A Decade of Vibes, a New Home at Kalagala Falls
Uganda's most iconic cultural event, the Nyege Nyege Festival, is back—bigger, bolder, and with a brand new home! The 10th edition of this electrifying celebration will take place from November 20–23, 2025, and for the first time, the beats will echo from the stunning Kalagala Falls, just 20 minutes from Jinja Town.
This year’s theme? "Ekiggunda Ky’omuliro", meaning "The Gathering of the Flame." It's a fitting title for a festival that continues to burn brightly in Uganda's cultural landscape.
What’s New?
- New Permanent Venue: Kalagala Falls is now the festival's official home for the next decade.
- Six Immersive Stages: Attendees can expect a sensory overload of music, film, and interactive art.
- Adventure Packages: Dive deeper into Uganda’s natural beauty with curated exploration experiences.
Organizers see the move as more than just logistics—it's a symbol of Nyege Nyege’s evolution from a niche electronic gathering into a global cultural force.
Economic Powerhouse
The 2024 edition generated UGX 6.62 billion (≈ US $1.8 million) in economic impact, with over 26,000 attendees from around the world. Impressively, 80% of all attendee spending went directly to local businesses—from boda-bodas and hotels to vendors and food stalls.
Safety First
While past editions—like 2023—faced external security alerts, Nyege Nyege’s safety measures stood strong. With zero critical incidents and just 35 minor arrests, authorities declared it a safe and successful event. This year, the festival continues to work closely with Uganda Breweries, Talent Africa, and security agencies to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
What to Expect in 2025
- Presale Tickets: Available now with early bird discounts.
- Full Lineup: Dropping in early September, promising an exciting mix of East African beats and global electronic talent.
Whether you’re in it for the music, fashion, food, or simply the energy, Nyege Nyege 2025 promises to be a fiery celebration of unity, creativity, and rhythm by the Nile.
See you at Kalagala Falls this November!
